Family vacation

I did the most amazing thing today.  I called my dad on his cell phone.  My dad has been "away" for almost 15 years.  Now he's home.  It's a strange, new normal.

Speaking of the middle of nowhere...we're planning our bi-annual (Does that mean once every two years or twice a year?  That's always confusing to me.  I'm trying to say once every two years.) vacation with my mom, stepdad, stepsisters, brother, and sister and brother-in-law.  Kyle suggested Girvin, TX. Where's Girvin?  I'm glad you asked.

I have to say that with this group of people, we'd have fun even in Girvin.  Just to help out, I have a suggested itinerary.

The accommodations are five star.

By five star I mean that while looking up in bed you are guaranteed to see at least five stars through each hole in the roof.

You will be awakened each morning by nature's alarm clock...

It will be important to stock up on supplies.  You know - snacks, water...BEER.  For all of that and more, it's off to the Girvin General Store.

In the evenings, we could get decked out and head to the Girvin Social Club.  It's sure to be a raucous time!

If the party gets too cah-razy, we'd better watch it...they'll run us out on a rail...

But that would NEVER happen with this group of people.  We would never get a little tipsy at a piano bar and break the bottoms of glasses while toasting for the umpteenth time.

After a super fun time in the town of Girvin, we'll fill up our tanks at the local gas station and head back to the real world.

Just a suggestion...
